On Friday, April 4, over 200 guests gathered inside the elegant halls of the historic Dallas Woman’s Forum for our 4th Annual Tea for Recovery. The event honored the strength and resilience of the women of The 24, while raising more than $60,000 to support our mission of helping homeless alcoholics and addicts rebuild their lives through recovery.
The event was chaired by Dr. M. Joan Terry and Rev. Tiffany Wright, who first envisioned Tea for Recovery in 2022 after walking alongside a loved one through their journey at The 24.
Guests were treated to a traditional English-style tea service created by Chef Tripp, while powerful stories of transformation reminded us all why we gather: to uplift those who are choosing a new way of life through sobriety, stability, and self-sufficiency.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our Presenting Sponsors, Krisi Kastl of Kastl Law and Ryan and Reed Wheelis, who gave generously in memory of their mother, Susan Hatfield Wheelis. Their support, along with a matching gift from Steve and Jennifer Reynolds, helped magnify the impact of every donation.
“The funds raised help us continue providing a stable, supportive environment where our Residents can begin again,” shared Tim Grigsby, CEO of Dallas 24 Hour Club. “Tea for Recovery is a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with compassion and purpose.”
Because of the incredible generosity of our sponsors, donors, and attendees, Tea for Recovery continues to create lasting change in the lives of the Residents at The 24.
“The Tea for Recovery was so beautiful,” shared Winnie B., a female Resident. “It made me feel worthy and special knowing that the people there cared so much about my recovery. The outpouring of support and encouragement I received was truly amazing.”
Thank you to everyone who made this special day possible. Each cup poured, story shared, and dollar donated brings us closer to a future filled with hope and healing. We can’t wait to see you next year. All photos by Dylan Hollingsworth from the event have been updated to our Facebook page and can be viewed here.
