GAVIN DELAHUNTY

Gavin Delahunty is an art historian, writer, and curator. Over the past twenty years he has curated over forty exhibitions of modern and contemporary art and published numerous articles, essays, and books. From 2014 to 2017, he was Hoffman Family Senior Curator of Contemporary Art at the Dallas Museum of Art. Prior to the that, he was Head of Exhibitions at Tate, Liverpool from 2010 to 2014, and Curator at mima (Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art) from 2007 to 2010. Delahunty holds an MA in Visual Arts Practices (Criticism), from The Institute of Art Design and Technology, Dublin; and a BA in Fine Art (Print), from Crawford College of Art & Design, Cork. Having first served on the Advisory Council between 2020 – 2022 Delahunty joined the Board of Directors in 2023. He spearheaded “Art for Tillman” the assembly and installation of over forty works of art at Tillman House together with an accompanying booklet titled “A Path is Made by Walking on It.” He is an avid marathon runner, cyclist, triathlete, and hiker. He lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife and two sons who inspire him daily.
