The 24 Hour Club was founded in 1969 in a donated office space; this space was for alcoholics to have a place to meet 24 hours per day, hence the name. It has been located in the East Dallas area for over 37 years and has been located at 4636 Ross Avenue for over 18 years. The Club is not a boarding house, nor is it a rehabilitation center or a medical facility. Rather, the Club seeks to facilitate recovery through adherence to the practices and principles of a 12- step program which has saved many lives, careers and families.
